Opel has given us another (admittedly blurry) look at the next-generation Mokka’s new face, with the upcoming crossover starring in a fresh teaser video.

Earlier in June 2020, the Rüsselsheim-based firm released a sketch of the next-generation Mokka’s front-end design, confirming the new crossover will debut the brand’s latest family face. According to the brand, the new face will “become a hallmark of all Opel models in the course of the 2020s”.

In the latest video, which we’ve embedded below, Opel boss Michael Lohscheller says the new model will effectively signal the start of the German brand’s reinvention.

“I’ve been responsible for Opel for three years. During this time, we put a lot of work and even more passion into the development of the new Mokka. With the next generation of Mokka, we’re practically reinventing Opel. I can’t wait to see our newcomer on the streets,” Lohscheller said.

Opel previously confirmed the new Mokka would drop the “X” from the current model’s name, while also giving us our first look at the crossover’s “fully digital yet detoxed” cabin.

Production of the new Mokka is due to start at the end of 2020, with the crossover expected to hit dealerships in 2021.
