American niche car designer and fabricator Rezvani has unveiled its most powerful ‘xtreme utility vehicle’ (XUV) to date, the 527 kW Tank X.

Equipped with the same 6,2-litre supercharged V8 found in the Dodge Hellcat, this Tank derivative delivers 527 kW and 963 N.m to all four corners, ‘propelling it over any terrain’.

Rezvani will equip this model with its Off-Road Extreme package as an optional extra, possibly propelling it even further over rough terrain. This option adds 6 inches (152 mm) to the ride height, a Dynatrac ProRock XD60/80 axle set complete with air lockers and an air compressor, Dynatrac ProGrip front and rear brakes and FOX racing shocks.

Featuring the same body on steel frame construction as the other Tank-models, this XUV also shares its aggressive-looking grille and sleek headlamps with the rest of its stablemates. For added visibility, the XUV features LED foglamps below the grille and a roof mounted LED light bar. Thermal night vision is also available, for $5 500 (R79 114,75).

Inside, you'll find a 7,9-inch central infotainment screen which provides access to Google Maps, Pandora Internet radio service and an array of on- and off-road apps. A head-up display is fitted as standard.

Rezvani is already taking orders for its ‘most hardcore’ off-roader. But how much does it cost? Well… without the above options, the base Tank X will cost $259,000 (that’s R3 724 899,15, without import costs).
