The finalists in each of the six categories at the 2018 World Car Awards have been announced, with the winners set to be revealed at the New York International Auto Show on March 28.

The organisers of the awards have named the ten finalists in the running for the World Car of the Year title, along with the five finalists in each of the World Luxury Car, World Performance Car, World Car Design and the World Urban Car categories. Four finalists in the running for the World Green Car gong have also been announced.

A jury of 82 international automotive journalists selected the finalists by secret ballot based on their evaluation with each candidate “as part of their professional work”.
