Isuzu has added a new special edition model to its KB bakkie range, available in both extended- and double-cab flavours.

The Isuzu KB X-Rider is based on the 250D-Teq Hi-Rider 4x2 derivative – and is thus powered by the 100 kW/320 N.m version of the brand's 2,5-litre turbodiesel mill – but gains a few styling updates, including black diamond-cut 18-inch alloys, black side-steps, and a black sports bar.

The KB X-Rider – which is available in three colours (Summit White, Switchblade Silver and Maranello Red) – furthermore features an uprated towbar (to go with the 2,1 tonne braked trailer capacity), LED daytime running lights and remote keyless entry. A handful of "X-Rider" decals have also been applied to the body.

Inside, this bakkie features leather seats, with the "X-Rider" logo embroidered on the front headrests. The leather-trimmed steering wheel, meanwhile, features red stitching, a treatment mirrored on the gear-lever gaiter and seats.

Piano Black inserts (complete with a red "X" motif) adorn the inside of the doors, while a similar high-gloss treatment has been applied to the air-conditioning vents, elements of the sound system, and the centre console.

So, how much? Well, the Isuzu KB 250 HO X-Rider Extended Cab comes in at R355 900, while the double-cab model costs R366 380.
