After a small teaser last week, Ferrari has decided to take the wraps off its new GTC4 Lusso, named after the legendary 1963 250 Berlinetta Lusso. The GTC4 Lusso succeeds the Ferrari FF as a versatile 2+2 which was responsible for gaining the brand a younger client base and managed to achieve 30% more mileage than other models due to its versatility.

The powerplant set to drive the GTC4 Lusso will be the traditional 6,2-litre V12 engine delivering 507 kW and 697 N.m of torque. To assist with the management of this power Ferrari will insert an RM Evo four-wheel drive system integrated with rear-wheel steering. In addition to this, drivers will also gain the help of the slip side control, the electronic differential and the SCM-E dampers. As a result, Ferrari claims that the GTC4 Lusso will retain performance and comfort on most surfaces. These changes will see the GTC4 Lusso accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3,4 seconds and reach a top speed of 335 km/h.

In terms of styling, there has been some notable changes made but the general silhouette remains the same apart from the now lower roofline. Head and taillamp details have been completely revised as well as the addition of a new front grille, rear diffuser and roof mounted rear spoiler to give the new 2+2 an even lower Cd than the FF.

Inside the GTC4 Lusso we see the use of a dual-cockpit architecture traditionally seen in 2+2 cars. Seat designs seem to be more premium than the ones used in the FF in an attempt to create more of a comfortable ambiance. In addition to the new seats Ferrari has also taken this opportunity to implement is new infotainment system which makes use of a 10,25-inch HD touchscreen.
