Fiat has revealed two interesting concepts of its 500X to this year's SEMA auto show in Las Vegas. Meet the Chicane and the Mobe. With these concepts, Fiat has taken the 500X in two very different directions of street performance and extreme adventure.

500X Chicane

The 500X Chicane is a performance variant of the crossover that makes use of Chrysler's Mopar tuning house. It appears to be a lot more exciting than the standard 500X thanks to its Competition Blue paintwork with side stripes and a gloss black roof.

A more dynamic body kit and a set of 20-inch alloy wheels have also been added to complete this image. The interior of the Chicane has also been given a work over with black leather seats and blue accents and trimmings.

In terms of performance the 500X Chicane is powered by the 2,4-litre Tigershark MultiAir2 engine that has been equipped with a cat-back exhaust system which Fiat claims adds more power but are ambiguous as to how much more.

500X Mobe

The 500X Mobe takes this crossover more into an adventurous setting. The term 'Mobe' refers to a challenging but popular kite surfing trick (You can YouTube it if you're interested in knowing more). The reasoning behind naming the 500X after this is unclear.

The 500X Mobe has an Ivory Pearl exterior with Matte Bronze accents and blue side stripes to give it a bright and coastal feel. To provide it with that adventurous edge the 500X Mobe has been equipped with a roof rack and two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside of the 500X Mobe the interior has also been given a black and blue colour scheme but most noticeably is the decal on the dash which is supposedly a surfer who is in the process of performing a mobe. All-weather floor mats and an emergency first aid kit have also been given to this adventurous crossover.

These are just SEMA concepts which means it is uncertain whether these two 500X models will ever see their way to the production line despite being fairly simple conversions.
