The guys over at TheAutomobilist.fr were able to source these shots of what seems to be a more hardcore version of the already hardcore Renault Clio RS. It is rumoured that this will be called the Clio RS 16.

The first changes to be noticed are the flared wheel arches, imposing rear spoiler for additional downforce and redesigned side skirts. The front fenders have also been ventilated to provide extra cooling for the brakes.

The Clio RS 16 is believed to maintain the turbocharged 1,6-litre four-cylinder engine but with an added 22 kW giving it a final power output of 186 kW. Torque output is unknown and seeing as this is a leak there are no performance figures available either.

It is suggested that the Clio RS 16 will see its reveal at the Monaco GP next weekend and based on the interest it receives, Renault will decide whether it wishes to produce it or not. It's unclear at this point, however whether this is a replacement model for the current RS or just a limited special edition.
