Hyundai has released two sketches of its next-generation Santa Fe, which will be officially revealed in February before making its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show in early March.

The Korean automaker promises that the fourth-generation Santa Fe will feature a “luxurious and striking design”.

The first sketch suggests that the next-generation Santa Fe will adopt a bold new interpretation of the brand’s so-called “cascading grille”, along with a two-part headlamp system divided into daytime running lights and main beams.

The second sketch shows off the vehicle’s profile (and part of its rear), which includes a character line that extends from the main headlamp units to the angular taillights. Boxy wheelarches frame the sort of impossibly large alloys we usually see in concept sketches and renderings.

Earlier in January, Hyundai released a shadowy teaser image of its new SUV, promising that it would offer “a comprehensive package” of the very latest active safety features (including an industry-first “rear occupant alert” function)…
