We've seen it already, thanks to a leaky internet (and numerous teasers). But now Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled its Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept at Pebble Beach, along with a number of interesting technical details.

Described by the Stuttgart giant as "a sensational luxury-class coupé", the concept is essentially a 2+2-seater designed to pay "homage to the glorious age of the aero coupés".

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, which measures some 5 700 mm in length, is an all-electric car. The automaker says the drive system has an output of around 550 kW, with the 80 kWh underfloor battery pack allowing a driving range of more than 500 km.

Thanks to four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, the concept boasts all-wheel drive, helping it achieve a theoretical 0‑100 km/h time of less than four seconds. Top speed, meanwhile, is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Mercedes-Benz says the 24-inch wheels are a further development of the aero rims first seen on the Concept IAA. Further highlights, of course, are those gullwing doors...
