What happens if you line up the Lamborghini Urus and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk for a drag race? Well, you’re about to find out.
Interestingly, the video above comes courtesy of Hennessey Performance, with the Texas-based tuner performing a spot of “baseline testing” of the two stock high-performance SUVs before doing some under-bonnet tinkering.
As a reminder, the Urus employs a twin-turbocharged 4,0-litre V8 worth 478 kW and 850 N.m, resulting in a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 3,6 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h. And the Trackhawk? Well, Jeep’s rapid SUV sports a supercharged 6,2-litre V8 petrol engine worth a 522 kW and 875 N.m. The American automaker says it’ll hit three figures in 3,5 seconds and top out at 290 km/h.
In South Africa, the Trackhawk is priced from R2 205 995, while the Urus kicks off at R3 995 000.
Watch the video above to see the two all-paw SUVs take part in a couple of drag races (and make sure to turn up the volume!)...
