Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has added a new Pajero Sport Shogun limited-edition model to its local line-up, claiming the newcomer offers some R60 000 worth of extras.

The seven-seater Pajero Sport Shogun – which is offered in three colours (silver, titanium grey or pearl white) – is priced at R639 995 and is based on the four-wheel-drive model.

The return of the Shogun name to local shores brings an upgraded factory-fitted infotainment system boasting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, a seven-inch touchscreen and navigation.

Other additions include Thule roof racks, a headlamp protector set, a bonnet guard, a black nudge bar, black exterior door handles, a boot cover, a side window visor/deflector set, a tow bar, special “Shogun” decals (in black and silver) and a branded carpet set.

The Pajero Sport Shogun uses Mitsubishi’s 2,4-litre turbodiesel engine, which sends 133 kW and 430 N.m to all four corners via the Japanese brand’s eight-speed automatic transmission.

As with the two other Pajero Sport derivatives (which introduced added safety features to the range in September 2018), the Shogun model is covered by a three-year/100 000 km warranty and a five-year/90 000 km service plan (with 10 000 km intervals).
