Delta4x4 has released an upgrade package for the Ford Ranger, giving the Blue Oval brand's bakkie a more capable off-road suspension and a wide body kit.

The off-road specialist company claims bakkies are "taking Europe by storm", with almost 30 000 new units being registered in Germany in 2019 (for the record, Ford sold some 25 000 examples of its Ranger in South Africa in 2019). With the Ranger making up close to a third of Germany's annual figure, the tuner say fit to release another Ranger package.

This Ranger stands 140 mm taller than standard thanks to the custom suspension set-up, which is complemented by a set of 305/60R18 Cooper STT Pro tyres wrapped round WP light alloy wheels. The wheel-and-tyre combination raises the ground clearance by another 20 to 30 mm. Even with this kit fitted, the Ranger isn't quite as tall as the Delta4x4 Beast revealed in 2016.

Delta4x4 has also incorporated a set of tailor-made fender extensions to accomodate the wider wheels. Attached to the "pedestrian safety bar" up front is a pair of PIAA LED auxiliary lamps for improved visibility during night-time off-roading.

No major changes have been made to the cabin other than the seating position being raised to provide drivers with a better view of their surroundings.
