Hyundai has released the first official images of its boldly styled (previously teased) fourth-generation Santa Fe ahead of the new model’s public debut at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2018.
The Korea automaker claims that its new Santa Fe will boast “class-leading roominess” thanks to an overall length of 4 770 mm (up 80 mm) and width of 1 890 mm (an increase of 10 mm), plus an as-yet unspecified “longer wheelbase”.
The first of two images shows the new Santa Fe from a front three-quarter angle, giving us a proper look at the latest interpretation of Hyundai’s so-called “cascading grille” and the sort of twin-headlamp set-up first seen on the Kona.
The second photograph (see below) shows the new Santa Fe’s interior (complete with a new freestanding display in the centre of the facia), which Hyundai claims “combines premium quality with a horizontal and roomy layout and enhanced visibility”.
As previously reported, the brand says the new Santa Fe will offer a “comprehensive package of Hyundai’s latest active safety features”, including rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist and safety exit assist (the latter temporarily locking the doors should the system detect vehicles approaching from behind).
Expect Hyundai to reveal more details at the new Santa Fe’s official world premiere later in February, ahead of its Geneva debut in March.
