Yes, it's another drag race from the folks over at CarWow. This one’s particularly exotic, pitting the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster against the McLaren 720S Spider.
As a reminder, the convertible McLaren employs the Woking-based firm’s mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 4,0-litre V8, sending 527 kW and 770 N.m to the rear axle.
Meanwhile, the Aventador S Roadster (complete with removable hardtop roof panels), uses the Sant’Agata Bolognese automaker’s naturally aspirated 6,5-litre V12, directing 544 kW and 690 N.m to all four corners.
So, the 720S Spider has more torque (but rear-wheel drive) while the Aventador S Roadster boasts more power (and the distinct benefit of all-wheel drive). Watch the video above to see these two drop-tops do battle in a straight line, from a rolling start and in a braking test…
