The folks over at Carlex Design have taken the wraps off a new “Yachting Edition” version of the Land Rover Defender.

Looks (and sounds) familiar, doesn’t it? Well, that’s because the Polish company has used the badge before, having already created Yachting Edition variants of models such as the Mercedes-AMG G63 and Mercedes-Benz X-Class.

The latest version, though, is based on the Defender 110, featuring a distinctive exterior finish mimicking brushed aluminium. It furthermore gains a branded spare-wheel cover, along with Carlex Design badging and subtle “Yachting Edition” decals.

Inside, though, is where the company has made the most drastic changes. As you can tell from the accompanying images, there’s the option of gold trim (and upholstery) interspersed with what looks like yet more brushed aluminium panels.

In keeping with the yachting theme, the luggage compartment has been fitted with wood panels, though Carlex Design has neatly retained essentials such as the child-seat top tether points.

The firm makes no mention of under-bonnet upgrades so we suspect the stock powertrain of this particular example has been left untouched.
